Martha is a senior (probably around 10yrs), pure white, female, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and she has also had an extensive dental with us. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Martha had been living in the garden of an elderly couple for around 2yrs, although they fed her well, (she is a huge plump kitty) and provided shelter in the form of a little cat house she was never allowed inside and when they were moving away they couldn't take her and asked for help with us. Its a real shame that she wasn't found more help sooner as she is an absolutely lovely girl who had ended up in a bit of a state, apart from suffering with her rotten teeth which would have been painful, she was matted all over and we had to shave her down her back on arrival as it was pulling her skin (she purred her head off as we did it bless her).

She also has some sun damage to the very tips of her ears, our vets have checked them and are happy that they are ok being left for now as they haven't progressed to ulcerating etc and going forward as long as she has some sun cream protection on them and doesn't have extensive exposure like she has had to endure living outside they shouldn't cause an issue.

Martha is a real character, she is a happy, friendly girl who enjoys a fuss but by having to live on her wits for the past couple of years she will tell you if she has had enough and she isn't keen on being man handled too much, a gentle brush is fine but too much messing her around and she will let you know to stop.

She is eating really well and is clean with the litter tray. She is sharing her space with several other cats who she gets on fine with, she would be happy either as the only cat in the home or she can live with other friendly neutered felines. She hasn't been around dogs that we know of but is a confident girl and could probably learn to live
with a gentle cat friendly dog, she has been friendly with a 10yr old
visiting child here and willingly came for a fuss.

Martha will need a home with a nice garden to sit in and a home that is WELL AWAY FROM BUSY OR FAST ROADS, she is quite a homely girl though so won't wander far especially once she has a nice bed and warm sofa to enjoy again after all this time.

Martha is being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of
£60

If you can offer this lovely lady her forever sofa please email us telling us all about your home offer (including full address and contact details) to wonkypetsrescue@gmail.com
