Katie is a 2yr old black female, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and has a clean bill of health, she will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
Katie was spotted many months ago at a really busy service station off a motorway, people from various food businesses in the area were feeding her and then 2 kittens appeared too. Sadly despite other rescues being made aware of them in this very dangerous location no one actually tried getting them all to safety. As soon as we were aware of them we set out to make sure they were all brought into safety, we were quickly able to trap one of the kittens (who were now
around 14/15 weeks old at this point and very feral, and we were leaving Katie, who was friendly, to stay with her remaining kitten until that one was trapped too. Unfortunately an un-suspecting member
of the public picked Katie up and took her home and then contacted us to say they had found a stray cat at the KFC at the services, it wasn't right to then put her back into that situation so she came into us a couple of days later.
Despite multiple attempts over many evenings (and even using thermal imaging) the remaining kitten has been nowhere to be seen which we are gutted about :( Katie however now has a safe future in a loving home
to look forward to rather than having to live on her wits avoiding cars and lorries!
Katie is the sweetest little cat and despite all she has been through she has remained very trusting and loving, she is a confident girl who had the world on her shoulders but is soooo deserving now of a loving
home where she can get all the care and attention she deserves and not have worry about being abandoned ever again. She is absolutely fine with other cats and can happily share her home with other friendly felines or she can be the only cat in the home, she isnt so keen on dogs at the moment but can live with gentle
children aged 7yrs and over.
She loves her food and enjoys her wet and dry food here, she has been great with the litter tray.
Katie will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS (she has certainly had enough of that!) with a nice safe garden to play in once fully settled. Being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed
further afield subject to homecheck and adoption donation of £90
